Players Guide to online casino Blackjack

Blackjack is a game of many decisions hit, stand, split but what do all these mean?

Playing blackjack: Hit

in blackjack a hit is where the player requests to be dealt another card. The hand gesture for this if you are holding your cards is to scrape the cards across the table twice. Tapping the table twice with your finger will indicate that you want a hit if you’re playing a face up blackjack game. Online casino blackjack is far simpler as you just press the hit button. Following this request the blackjack dealer will deal you another card.

Blackjack Jargon: stand

When you stand in blackjack you indicate you want to take no further action with your current hand. In a hand held game you would slide your cards under your bet but if you’re playing face up you wave your hand horizontally. Hit the stand button to signify that you with to stand in an online casino game.

Blackjack terms: Double Down

After being dealt their first two cards and before they hit again, a player has the option to double down in any game of blackjack. When a player doubles down they will only receive one more card but then also have the opportunity to double their bet. This means he can only have the maximum of three blackjack cards. Double your bet on the table to indicate you want to take this action. It is best to double down in blackjack when you have a ten or an ace and the dealers card which is face up is a four five or six. This option is not always offered in online casino blackjack.

Blackjack Jargon: Split

If the first two cards you are dealt have the same value then you have a pair. The player has the option to split these and play two blackjack hands and add an additional bet. The dealer should then split up your hands and deal you two extra cards. To signal this action you place a bet outside the betting box on the black jack table.
